Travel Teams
Players are placed on Travel Teams after attending a tryout. Travel Teams attend tournaments in Summer and Fall seasons. The amount of tournaments varies based on the players age. As players move into Middle School and then High School age groups, the number of tournaments increases and includes opportunities to be seen for college recruiting purposes.
Players must tryout each year in order to keep a spot on the team. Spots are not guaranteed from year to year. This is in order to maintain and improve the skill level of the teams.
Practices are held 2-3 days per week during Summer and on weekends only for Fall season.
Tournament dates can be found on the Schedules Tab.
Tryouts are held in April and July/August for the following seasons. If you are interested and missed the tryout dates, contact us to schedule a tryout!!
Little Fangs
Little Fangs is our program for younger players that are interested in learning to play/ continuing to play in seasons other than the traditional spring season.
We offer this 5-6 week program with once a week practices in both Summer and Fall seasons. We try to keep the practice dates the same as our Travel Team practices to help families simplify drop off/ pick up.
Many players use this as a "stepping stone" to advance their skills and carry that into joining one of our Travel Teams.
Clinics
Venom Lacrosse offers clinics through the Summer, Fall and Winter with local high level college coaches, players as well as Professional Women's Lacrosse players.
**Players do not have to be a Venom Travel Team member to attend.**
These are offered to allow anyone in the community to be able to learn and grow from the knowledge of these coaches/ players to continue to improve their skills.

IWLCA President's Cup Tournament
Venom Lacrosse offers this additional tournament for our High School level players. This is in addition to our Fall tournament schedule.
The IWLCA President's Cup is THE largest recruiting tournament for playing in college and so, is a huge opportunity for our players to be seen by many college coaches in one place.
This tournament follows the IWLCA convention each year which is why so many coaches are in attendance (typically over 500).
